1) on a walk with kathy, we saw a broken robin's egg under a tree, which when i was a kid symbolised that spring was finally here! new baby birds, bursting out of their confined eggy home, chirping away their newfound freedom. it is may.

2) on a walk with michael, mark and jessica, we encountered a bit of a snowstorm, which when i was a kid symbolised that winter was finally here! fresh white snowflakes, bursting out of the clouds, flitting away their newfound freedom. it is may.
